Capital Market Training to Financial Journalists

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) organized capital market training program for financial journalists on 31st Jestha, 2076. The program was conducted in request of Nepalese Association of Financial Journalists (NAFIJ) where more than forty financial journalists representing different media houses participated in the program. The program was aimed to impart thorough understanding of role of NEPSE in capital market and its trading system. The training also emphasized on things to be considered before publishing any capital market related news as it impacts trading behavior of large number of existing and potential investors.

The training was given by Act. Manager Mr. Niranjan Phuyal, Act. Assistant Manager Mr. Murahari Parajuli and Senior IT officer Mr. Pravakar Ghimire in presence of Chief Executive Officer of NEPSE Mr. Chandra Singh Saud. Mr. Saud acknowledged the significance and role of media in development of Capital Market. Furthermore, he also mentioned that NOTS is gradually taking its pace to widen the scope of the market.  Mr. Saud stated that NEPSE has taken the initiative to launch derivative instrument in the coming fiscal year

Mr. Sitaram Bhattarai, Chairman of NAFIJ, praised the initiative taken by the NEPSE to educate the financial journalists about the capital market, its recent developments and trading system of NEPSE. He further acknowledged the value and importance of these programs. Previously, NEPSE have conducted similar training for the reporters outside the valley however, it was first of its kind for the financial journalists inside Kathmandu valley.
