INVESTOR'S AWARENESS PROGRAM IN PROVINCE NO. 2 & 3

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) in joint efforts of CDS and Clearing Ltd. (CDSC) organized "Investor's Awareness and Interaction Program" within three cities of Province no. 2 and 3. On 15th Falgun, program was conducted in Birgunj and on the following day, the program took place in Hetauda. Likewise, on 17th of Falgun, it was organized at Chitwan.

The program was aimed to enlighten investor's knowledge about recent developments of capital market and enhance their understanding of NEPSE Online Trading System (NOTS). Furthermore, the purpose of this program was to make local people and investors well-informed about the Demat, C-ASBA, Mero Share services as well as to promote overall capital market. Some 200-250 eager participants including existing and potential investors were present at the awareness program.

The awareness program took place in presence of Mr. Niranjan Phuyal, Act. Manager, Mr. Pravakar Ghimire, Senior IT officer of NEPSE. Mr. Chandra Singh Saud, CEO of NEPSE was present in the program conducted at Chitwan and it was chaired by Mr. Vijay Kumar Sarawagi, Mayor of Birgunj as chief guest for the event. Representatives from CDSC also attended the program.

The participants at the program praised the initiative taken by the NEPSE to take investor awareness to the different peripheries of the country and also acknowledged the value and importance of these programs.
