NEPSE Celebrates World Investor Week 2018

NEPSE participated in several events organized on the occasion of World Investor Week 2018 with the aim to promote greater investor education and protection from 1st to 7th October 2018. 

NEPSE joined in the "प्रभातफेरीprogram organized by SEBON on 1st of October in order to raise awareness about the capital market. The walk started at 7:00 a.m. from Bhadrakali area and ended in Brikhutimandap with the closing speech of Mr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, Chairman of SEBON. There was active participation of around 3000 people along with the representatives from NEPSE, CDSC, Merchant banks, Stock brokers, Credit rating agencies, C-ASBA members and BFIs during the event.

On the third day of world investor week, NEPSE launched its newsletter in order to ease the access of investors in capital market. Likewise, other organizations such as SEBON, CDSC, Broker association, Merchant Banker association and Credit rating agency also published their respective informational materials.

On the 5th and 6th of October, NEPSE participated in first provincial Capital Market Expo organized at Biratnagar under the leadership of SEBON. Honorable Chief Minister of Province 1, Mr. Sher Dhan Rai was invited as the chief guest for the event. The expo was targeted to disseminate the information related to primary and secondary market, to increase awareness among the existing and potential investors of the market as well as to ease the access of investors in the market.

NEPSE is pleased to be part of these events and programs that will not only have its positive impact today but also will be contributing in fostering the capital market in near future.
